Fingers are considered long or short as compared to the palm itself, not other people's fingers. If your fingers are longer than your palm is long, they are considered long. If your fingers are shorter then your palm is long, they are considered short.

Fingers may also be long compared to each other. If your ring finger is longer than your index finger, certain aspects of your personality will differ from someone whose index finger is longest.

Fingers may be pointed on the end, square, wide or round.

Knuckles may be straight or knobby.

Fingers may be wide apart or close, some may lean towards or away from another.
